Co-chair of the finals, Chair for the Kids Pro-Am and housing players, Carol Mugerditchian has a lot on her plate. This is Carol’s fourth year and every year she works with the committee as hard as she is able to bring everything together. In fact, this is one of her favorite aspects about the tournament. When asked her three favorite things about the tournament she stated that she really enjoyed housing the players, seeing the old and new faces of the players, and working with the community.

Carol Mugerditchian, “Mugs”, houses players during the USTA Pro Circuit. Currently, she has two players; one from India and one from Serbia living with her. She stated that she really enjoyed getting to know the different cultures and getting to know the players. She really loved to get involved. Even watching each of the players as they learn about each other is very enjoyable to watch, she said.

Seeing the new players come in and play matches with the older players is another one of her favorite aspects of the USTA Pro Circuit. During the tournament, you get to see some incredible tennis matches! It is also a wonderful networking opportunity for everyone, not just the Pros. When she speaks with the Pros, they state that they love coming to Little Rock! They enjoy the hospitality and the facilities.

One last thing that Carol enjoys about the tournament is that it really brings the community together. The event may only last for a week or so, but it takes all year for everything to be worked on. After the wonderful week ends, the Committee starts working on next year immediately! It’s not something you work on for a few weeks.

When she was first signed on, she stated, “You’re going to have a hard time getting rid of me!” I’m sure everyone is happy to hear that and is glad that she has joined to help with the tournament.
